1958 – 1962 Diamond Phoenix built the hydraulic valves and pumps, lifting tower and fork structure for this lumber yard fork truck

1975 – 1980 Wang Labs purchased over 25 of these closed loop transporter systems for assembling circuit boards, sub assemblies, power supplies, etc.

Throughout the last half century, Diamond Phoenix has become a leading provider of material handling systems, offering expert design and integration services, advanced warehouse software systems, and a complete range of material handling equipment.

1946 - Company founded as Lewiston Machine

1958 – Lewiston Machine merges with Diamond Machine

1960 - Diamond develops and installs first transporter conveyor to speed and direct workflow (currently over 4,000 installations worldwide)

1961 - Diamond introduces specialty production machines and conveyors for manufacturing applications

1964 - Diamond introduces ergonomic "lowerator" devices and vertical lifts

1966 - Diamond produces first sequences for work-in-process automation, routing and repetitive assembly applications

1975 - First high density Diamond vertical storage units installed

1979 - Diamond Horizontal Carousel systems introduced for manufacturing and distribution

1980 - Diamond Data Systems incorporated to develop in-house software solutions

1980 - In-house software introduced for WIP applications

1981 - First work-in-progress Closed Loop Transporters and Integrated Diamond Software introduced to market

1985 - Diamond CIMPL Series inventory control software introduced

1987 - First Diamond Pick-To-Light Systems installed

1989 - Class Software introduced; version 1.0 controls high speed picking systems

1992 - Class Software expanded to control carousel cross dock and sortation systems

1993 - CS/RS (Carousel Storage and Retrieval Systems) software product installed in first site

1994 - Diamond introduces MaxTractor™ Automatic Inserter/Extractor to handle multiple size totes or cartons at over 8 feet per second

1998 - Company acquired by industry leaders Thomas Coyne, CEO and Edward Larry Strayhorn, President

1999 - New facility opens December 1999, tripling production space

1999 - Grand Rapids, MI office opens for Software and Controls development

2000 - Acquisition of CASI Technologies

2001 - Innovative Diamond DirectPick™ Pick-to-Light System introduced; versatile solution cuts picking time in half while increasing accuracy by 80%

2003 - Diamond launches new DirectPick™ Pick Cart for batch picking and putting; very accurate and economical for a large number of SKUs

2003 - Diamond announces the new SMARTdepot™ Vertical Lift Module with patented Cross-bay™ Technology; provides significant space savings and can increase picking productivity up to 2.5 times

2004 - Diamond introduces the POWERdepot™ Vertical Carousel with dual chain guidance technology; significant increase in productivity and storage density can result in floor space recovery of more than 75%

2005 – Diamond introduces revolutionary DiamondWare Warehouse Execution System WES™ 3.0, a change in the traditional architecture of warehouse software, optimizing labor and equipment to achieve higher productivity, reduced capital expense and improved ROI

2005 – Diamond announces expansion of DirectPick™ to include Voice-Directed Picking

2005 – Diamond continues expansion of product line by introducing the INTERMAT Heavy-Duty Carousel and the TOWERMAT Heavy-Duty Vertical Lift Module
