Covering every management discipline, our team combines the strength of existing core managers with 5 or more years of experience with dynamic new officers and additional team members recruited from top companies in the material handling industry.

Officers

Tom Coyne, Chief Executive Officer
With strong international business knowledge and experience, Mr. Coyne is a recognized expert in the design/build approach to implementing automated material handling systems. Prior to his leadership role at Diamond Phoenix, Mr. Coyne was Chief Financial Officer for design/build firm Broad Rack Structures, shuttling between Detroit, London and Irapuato, Mexico. From 1987-97, he worked with Rapistan DEMAG Corp., rising to Group Manager of Integration Programs with top-level responsibility for concepting, estimating, project management, engineering and construction site management.

Larry Strayhorn, President
With a 25-year career in material handling and significant experience in automated system design, program management, marketing/sales support and business management, Mr. Strayhorn held several key management positions at Rapistan DEMAG, including General Sales Manager for Integrated Systems Operations, accountable for $95 million in sales, as well as being responsible for marketing and sales support. He previously managed Rapistan's Customer Service Group with P&L responsibility for the company's entire aftermarket business segment, and earlier, held engineering management positions in Integrated Systems Concepting, Project Engineering and Systems Development. Mr. Strayhorn is a member of the MHIA’s ASRS Product Section, Integrated Systems and Controls Council, and Order Fulfillment Council. He also currently serves on the MHIA Board of Governors at Large and on the Board of Directors of the Material Handling Education Foundation.

Executive Staff:

Greg Chaffee, Vice President, Systems Sales
Mr. Chaffee brings 25 years of national sales experience and a wealth of knowledge in systems integration, supply chain solutions, development of new business and professional sales management in the material handling industry. He previously held positions as National Sales Manager for Automated Guided Vehicle Systems and AS/RS for Mannesman Dematic Rapistan Systems, and earlier, as Regional Sales Manager of AGVS at FMC Corporation. Mr. Chaffee has served on the Board of Directors for the Material Handling Industry of America, and has chaired the MHIA's Automated Storage and Retrieval Product Section.

Steve Lankford, Vice President, Software Engineering & Controls
Mr. Lankford has over 20 years of experience in software development for automated material handling systems, with particular experience in automated storage and retrieval systems. He was a software development engineer and manager for firms including Alvey Integrated Business Solutions, Rapistan, Haushahn Systems & Engineers and Mannesmann Demag prior to joining Diamond Phoenix in 1998, where he is responsible for all aspects of software design, development and installation. Mr. Lankford's duties include managing an 11-person department, developing product strategies, controlling custom applications development and overall responsibility for planning and executing software projects.

William Ledoux, Vice President, Operations
With over 30 years experience in the business, Mr. Ledoux brings a vast amount of expertise in material handling equipment engineering, manufacturing, project management and general administration. As Vice President of Operations for Diamond Phoenix since 1995, he has been instrumental in the introduction of new systems and equipment to streamline workflow and maximize profitability. He also served in the same executive position for the company's earlier incarnation, Diamond Machine Company, where in a span of 18 years, he held positions as Vice President of Engineering, Chief Engineer and Project Engineer.

Robert Rienecke, Vice President, Business Development
With over 20 years of industry experience to draw from, Mr. Rienecke is responsible for developing strategic partnerships with companies that use Diamond Phoenix technologies in vertical market solutions. Previously at Diamond, he has held the positions of Vice President of Sales and Vice President of Marketing. Prior to Diamond, Mr. Rienecke served as Director of Marketing for the Buschman Co. in Cincinnati, Ohio, where he managed the advertising and public relations programs. He also worked at Rapistan/Mannesmann Demag as Marketing Manager, Integrated Systems. Additionally, he sold AGVS, ASRS, and monorail systems for the Integrated Systems Group.

Peter Pacetti, Chief Financial Officer
Peter Pacetti joined Diamond from Jordan’s Meats, a $225M meat processor and foodservice wholesaler, where he was Chief Financial Officer. Prior to Jordan’s, Peter was a Senior Vice President at Fleet Bank in Boston providing financial services to middle market companies and leveraged buyout groups. Peter brings to Diamond his extensive experience in providing sound financial and administrative management, arranging growth financing, and managing computer operations all to support the company's continued growth.
