Challenge: Since the 1980s, business had increased at Ross Labs Sample Center by an average of 11% each year. With over 250,000 testing samples located on 64 rows of high density shelves, major sample pulls took weeks to complete.

Solution: : In 1992, six Diamond Phoenix Carousels with custom lift platforms were designed to store numberous product samples, allowing easy retrieval of products from the top and bottom of the bins. Five additional carousels were installed in 2003. The carousel system could also move without the jolting action associated with other carousels when first engaged.

Benefits: The steady increase in business can be handled by one three-person staff. Major sample pulls now take an average of two days. The Diamond Phoenix carousel system keeps agitation to samples to an absolute minimum.
